A2Q - Answers to Questions

Answers to Questions (A2Q) is a dynamic tool and service that extracts STAR and CELDT student data into a usable form so schools and districts can make informed decisions. This flexible and powerful tool allows staff to crunch data quickly to identify groups or individual students by 60 different variables and determine instructional needs or changes.

A2Q can answer these kinds of questions and more:

  • How many students scored at the 'Below Basic' level on the CST Language Arts and Math?
  • What percentage of English learners showed growth of more than one CELDT level?
  • Who are these students by name and grade?

What are districts doing with A2Q information?

  • Setting up targeted interventions for specific students and populations
  • Auditing data file for errors
  • Providing opportunities to coach teachers
  • Reviewing local assessment data alongside state data
  • Adding program participation data for program evaluation
