Analyze Overview
ANALYZE is the first phase of the District Assistance and Intervention Team’s (DAIT) process.
Critical steps are:
- Assess district readiness to implement reform
- Examine and assess current district work
This readiness work is followed by:
- Examining the Summary of Student Achievement
- Administer the Academic Program Survey (APS)
- Complete the English Learner Subgroup Self Assessment (ELSSA) and Least Restrictive Environment Self Assessment (LRE)
- Review the Summary of Survey Results
- Select four or five priorities

The DAIT works with the DLT to assess the district's capacity for and commitment to change, using one of the recommended tools. |

The DAIT works with the DLT to examine and assess the district's current work and any initiatives that show promise. |

Each DAIT pilot reviews and discusses current district progress on PI reform initiatives and examines a Summary of Student Achievement, which is provided by the state. |

The DAIT works with the DLT to ensure that all schools have completed the Academic Program Survey and conducts site visits where appropriate to verify APS ratings. The DAIT enters results on the DAIT website. |

The DLT and DAIT complete the English Learner Subgroup Self Assessment and the Least Restrictive Environment Self Assessment and enters results on the DAIT website. |

The DLT and DAIT review the Summary of Survey Results, which summarizes the results of the APS, ELSSA, and LRE and identifies tentative priorities for district work. |

The DLT and DAIT examine the tentative priorities identified in the Summary of Survey Results and select 4-5 high-leverage priorities for district work. |

The DLT and DAIT complete the plan template (in the Action Plan Tool) for each priority - identifying the focus, specific action steps, person responsible, timeline, estimated costs, and funding source and verifying that the necessary district policies are in place. |

The DLT and DAIT post the plans on the DAIT website. The state will review all plans to ensure that they fully address the district's needs. |

The District and targeted schools implement action steps, with support from the DLT and DAIT. |
